Visual Analysis of Urban Resilience Research Progress Based on CiteSpace
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the research progress and hot topics in the field of urban resilience at home and abroad, this paper used 495 core documents collected by CNKI and 1 871 core documents collected by WOS from 2013 to 2023 as its data sources.Based on biblio-metric methods, these core literature were subjected to analysis using Citespace,a visual data analy-sis software, which was employed to scrutinize their annual publication counts, author co-occur-rences,affiliations with research institutions, and research hotspots. The results revealed that:1)The volume of publications concerning urban resilience both domestically and internationally displays an upward trend;2)The networks of scholars'collaboration have been formed in both domestic and international contexts, with a core group of authors emerging within China, whereas such a formation was yet to be seen for authors abroad;3)Foreign research institutions are closely bonded with a cer-tain cooperative foundation, whereas domestic research institutions have formed a cooperative net-work structure at an initial phase but remain largely independent with few connections;4)Research on urban resilience initiated earlier overseas with a more complete and diverse system, while domes-tic study on urban resilience started later with a single system and weak interdisciplinarity;5)Urban resilience studies abroad places greater emphasis on the value of ecological construction and sustain-able development, whereas domestic research on urban resilience focuses more on disaster preven-tion and mitigation, along with urban safety development and planning. This study provides a refer-ence for a deeper understanding of global urban resilience research in the future.
