Analysis of Influencing Factors of Soil Organic Carbon Content in Xining City
Under the background of global warming,it is of great scientific value and practical signif-icance to study the spatial distribution of soil organic carbon and its influencing factors for maintai-ning the sustainable economic and social development of the region. The study takes Xining city,Qinghai province as the research area, examining the effects of climate, topography and vegetation factors on soil organic carbon content in conjunction with six environmental variables.According to the spatial distribution characteristics and differences of soil organic carbon content, correlation anal-ysis and statistical analysis were used to analyze and discuss the influence and possible causes of the spatial distribution of soil organic carbon content. The results show that soil organic carbon content decreases gradually from the surface layer to the bottom layer, mainly accumulating in the top 0~20 cm of soil, demonstrating an obvious surface aggregation phenomenon.Climatic factors(annual average temperature, annual average precipitation)and altitude are the most important factors af-fecting the vertical distribution of soil organic carbon content in 0~100 cm soil layer. There is a sig-nificant negative correlation between annual average temperature and soil organic carbon content in the study area. The overall trend of soil organic carbon content in each soil layer is(<-5℃)<(-5~0℃)<(0~5℃)<(>5℃).Under different annual average precipitation levels, the overall trend of soil organic carbon content is(<400 mm)<(400~500 mm)<(500~600 mm)<(>600 mm),with soil organic carbon content gradually increasing with the increase of precipitation. In different soil layers at the same altitude or in the same soil layer at different altitudes, soil organic carbon content increases initially and then decreases with the increase of altitude.
