Study on the Spatial Distribution of the Hospitality Industry in Xining Based on POI Data
The spatial layout of the hospitality industry is a key aspect of urban construction and tourism development.Exploring the spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors of the hospitality industry in cities has important practical significance for urban economic development and the planning of various facilities.Therefore,based on the POI data of accommodation service facili-ties in 5 main urban areas of Xining,this paper divides the accommodation service facilities in Xin-ing into five types,and explores the spatial distribution characteristics of different types of accommo-dation service facilities in Xining by using the methods of nearest neighbor index,kernel density a-nalysis and standard deviation ellipse.The results show that:the hospitality industry in Xining's main urban districts generally shows a northwest-southeast distribution trend,embodying a pattern of clustering.This pattern displays a"stripe-shaped concentration and point-shaped distribution";All types of accommodation service facilities exhibit a northwest-southeast orientation,among which the three-star and ordinary hotels are significantly converging;Five-star and budget hotels are dis-tributed in a point pattern,four-star and ordinary hotels in a strip-shaped pattern,and three-star hotels in a patch pattern.Most of the urban function indicators showed significant positive correlation with the types of accommodation service facilities.It is observed that the hospitality industry in gen-eral has the strongest correlation with catering services,followed by commercial housing and living services.
