The Study on the Impact of Tourist-Environment Fit on Behavioral Intentions
The relationship between human and environment is a key topic that scholars pay attention to,but the research on the impact of behavioral intention from the perspective of tourism-environment fit has been scarce. The study of behavioral intention from the perspective of tourism-environment compatibility can clarify the importance of interaction between tourists and tourism environment, and also provides insights to understand the underlying mechanism of tourism behavior. Therefore, based on the individual-environment matching theory and the self-regulating attitude theory, the paper analyzes 235 questionnaire data collected offline using structural equation model, taking the scenic area of Xiamen Forest and Botanical Garden as a case study. The relationship between tourist-environment fit, tourist emotion and behavior intention are explored. The results show that tourist-environment fit has a direct impact on behavioral intention, and tourist emotion has a significant positive impact on behavioral intention, and the impact of tourist emotion on behavioral intention is greater than that of tourist-environment fit.Tourist emotions partially mediate the relationship between tourist-environment fit and behavioral intention. Therefore, improving the compatibility between tourists and tourism environment and tourists'emotion is conducive to improving tourists'intention to recommend and revisit, thereby promoting the sustainable development of tourism.
