Research on Meshing Performance of Hypoid Gears with Duplex Helical Method
Aiming at the hypoid gear pair manufactured with duplex helical method(completing method),the interaction rules among installation error, helical motion coefficient and meshing performance was studiedvia numerical analysis method. The vector method is used to establish the model for gear cutting, and the tooth surface equations are obtained, and the model for gear pair assembly is established, and the tooth surface contact characteristics with various installation errors are studied with tooth contact analysis(TCA).By establishing the model for tooth surface mismatch, the influence rules of the helical motion coefficient on the tooth contact characteristics and geometric morphology is analyzed, and the different modification principle on the working surface and non-working surface of gear teeth via duplex helical methodis revealed.Combining with the relationship of the relative position between the cutter and the gear blank, the solution process of generating line is expounded, and the influence rules of the spiral motion coefficient on the generating line position is analyzed. The experiment of geargrinding and rolling inspection of the hypoid gear pair(7×43)is carried out,and the correctness of the model is verified by comparing with the numerical results.
