Curvature Radius Modeling for Aluminum Alloy I-beam Prebending Shot Peening
A model for analyzing the curvature radius in the pre-bending shot peening of 2024-T351 I-beam of aviation aluminum alloy was established by using the equivalent shot peening induced stress. The JC(Johnson-Cook)constitutive model and representative volume element method are employed to analyze the variation law of shot peening induced stress under different shot peening coverage rates,as a result that the stable simulation results are obtained when the representative volume element size is 3.1,3.7,4.4 times the size of the impact zone for 24.8%,35.3%,50.3%coverage rates respectively. On this basis, the finite element direct stress method is used to simulate the law of curvature radius in the shot peeningof I-beam with pre-bending and without pre-bending with defining coverage rate on different zone.A least square method is used to calculate the curvature radius with the coordinate data form simulation result. The effectiveness of the present model and finite element simulation are verified by using experiment.
