The discovery and conservation recommendations of Platycrater arguta community in Jiangxi Wuyishan National Nature Reserve
Platycrater arguta was found for the first time in Jiangxi Wuyishan National Nature Reserve on Sep 1st, 2015. Wuyi mountain (Jiangxi part) has become the most widely distributed of P. arguta with 5 countries where recorded P. arguta. Its branch showed a high sprouting ability by surveyed preliminarily, the ability provides a new opportunities for protecting this endangered species. It suggested that on the basis of protecting the existing resources, then carry out special investigations and research of genetic polymorphism for P. arguta in Wuyi Mountain in order to provide a scientific basis for the targeted protection program.
