Construction and application on the protection and evaluation system of Dongguan nature reserve
Natural reserves are important ecological barriers in China, and fully utilizing the protection effectiveness of natural reserves is the key to achieving biodiversity conservation goals. It was great significance for promoting effective management and macro decision-making of natural reserves with conducting protection effectiveness evaluation.Based on existing research results and technical standards and specifications,it was constructed an evaluation system consisting of 3 benchmark layers,10 factor layers, and 28 indicator layers. The weight values of the indicators were determined using Analytic Hierarchy Process and a comprehensive evaluation model was constructed. It was evaluated the effectiveness of natural conservation in six nature reserves in Dongguan City as the research object. The results showed that,16.67%of the natural reserves in Dongguan City were classified as Grade A,66.66%as Grade B,and 16.67%as Grade C.The network of natural reserves has a significant protective effect on the natural habitat landscape within the area, slowing down the trend of landscape fragmentation within the boundary. This study can provide reference for the exploration of evaluation methods for the protection effectiveness of nature reserves, and the research results can provide scientific support for the improvement and optimization adjustment of the effectiveness of regional scale nature reserves.
