Early growth performance on the clonal progeny test forest of Cyclocarya paliurus
In this study, the tree height, ground diameter, number of primary branches, maximum tip length, leaf length, leaf width, leaf shape index and the contents of total flavonoids, total terpenes, polysaccharides, zinc and iron in leaves of 10 Cyclocaria sinensisclones were investigated and analyzed in different progeny. In order to select the clones with good performance and provide good germplasm resources for the development of Cyclocchiana industry in Jiangxi Province. The results showed that the average tree height of the 10 tested clones was 105.42 cm,which distributed in the range from 60.1 to 152.0 cm.The average ground diameter was 12.69 mm,which distributed in the range from 6.8 to 19.72 mm.The average number of primary branches was 5.7,which distributed from 3 to 10.The average maximum tip length was 38.47 cm,and the distribution was from 14.6 to 79.0 cm.The average leaf length was 11.97 cm,and the distribution was from 6.7 to 17.9 cm.The average leaf width was 3.76 cm,the distribution was from 2.3 to 5.6 cm.The average leaf shape index was 3.23,which ranged from 2.093 7 to 4.370 3.The mean content of the total flavonoids was 14.15%,with a distribution from 10.61%to 19.74%,the mean content of the total terpenoids was 1.20%,with a distribution form 0.53%to 2.16%.The mean content of polysaccharides was 3.1 g·kg-1,with a distribution from 0.9 to 11.9 g·kg-1.The average content of zinc was 52.11 mg·kg-1,which ranged from 29.2 to 78 mg·kg-1.The average content of iron was 102.04 mg·kg-1,which ranged from 74.2 to 142 mg·kg-1,According to the membership function value of each index, the results of comprehensive evaluation of the tested clones showed that the average membership function value of each index of YF08 was 0.522 5.The second was XS18,which reached 0.499 1.In third place was WN40,whose average membership function value was 0.4901.The results showed that the combined performance of the three clones was the best among all the clones tested.
