A new recorded species of amphibian was found in Jiangxi Province:Cynops orphicus
In May 2018,amphibians were investigated in Zhaoxie Town,Le'an County,Jiangxi Province(27.162639° N,115.918945° E,Altitude:318 m),and Huangpi Town(27.327765°N,116.064343° E,Altitude:661 m),Yihuang County,Jiangxi Province.No.1 and No.2 Cynops orphicus specimens were collected.After morphological characteristics comparison and mitochondrial COI gene sequencing comparison,it was determined that the collected specimens were C.orphicus of Anura,Ranidae and Cynops.It is a new record of amphibian distribution in Jiangxi Province.
