Study on the community characteristics of Castanopsis kawakamii in Dongyuan Kanghe Provincial Nature Reserve,Guangdong Province
Based on the quadrat survey,the species composition,community characteristics and species diversity of Castanopsis kawakamii community in Guangdong Dongyuan Kanghe Provincial Nature Reserve were studied.The results showed that 62 species of vascular plants belonging to 35 families and 47 genera were recorded in the 1 000 m2 quadrat.Fagaceae and Lauraceae were the dominant families in this community,C.carlesii,C.kawakamii,C.fissa and C.faberi were the dominant species.The results of community diversity analysis showed that the Margalef index,Shannon-Wienner index and Pielou index were the highest in tree layer,higher in herb layer and lowest in shrub layer.The population of C.kawakamii was dominated by medium and large trees,and there was a lack of seedlings under the forest,which indicated that the population would be in a decline type.
