Study on the prevention and control effects of Dastarcus helophoroides on pine wilt disease
To explore the prevention and control effects of Dastarcus helophoroides on different degrees pine wilt disease.Experimental sites were set up in light、medium and severe epidemic areas, adult D.helophoroides were released before the emergence of the Monochamus alternatus for more than three consecutive years,The parasitic percentages of M.alternatus larvae parasitized by D.helophoroides, population of trapped M.alternatus in the forest, and the number of death pine trees in autumn were surveyed. The results showed that M.alternatus were parasitized after continuous release D.helophoroides at each experimental site, the overall trend of adult D.helophoroidesin the forest was declining. The annual highest positive decline rates of the number of dead trees of Pinus massoniana in the experimental groups of severe occurrence area(Yongfeng County),moderate occurrence area(Guangfeng District and Suichuan County),and mild occurrence area(Changjiang District,Jinggangshan City,Yongxin County)were 36.75%,81.00%,68.54%,72.13%,68.38%and 68.61%,respectively.D.helophoroides could control the population of M.alternatu, reduce the probability of transmission of pine wilt disease, indirectly reduce the number of pine trees died from pine wilt disease in light and medium epidemic areas. The control effect is significant in light epidemic areas, but not significant in severe epidemic areas.
