Diversity analysis of understory plants in different mixed forests of Cunninghamia lanceolata and broad-leaved trees in Northern Guangdong Province,China
Six types of mixed forests of Cunninghamia lanceolata and broad-leaved trees("C.lanceolata×Schima superba""C.lanceolata×Castanopsis hystrix""C.lanceolata×Michelia chapensis""C.lanceolata×M.macclurei""C.lanceolata×Camphora officinarum""C.lanceolata×Liquidambar formosana")and pure C.lanceolata forest in Northern Guangdong were investigated with the aim to dissect their understory shrubs and herbs composition regarding the species and floristic pattern and the diversity levels. The results indicated that there were 50 species of plants in the research area, organized into 44 genera and 33 families.Among them, there were 25 species of shrubs, belonging to 20 genera and 16 families;25 species of herbs, belonging to 24 genera and 17 families.Floristic analysis indicated that,41 genera and 33 families of understory plants in the research area could be split into 9 distribution types and 9 distribution types, respectively. The species diversity composite index(SDCI)of"C.lanceolata×C.officinarum"was the highest in the six types of mixed forests of C.lanceolata and broad-leaved trees, and was 0.72,followed by"C.lanceolata×L.formosana"stand(0.67)and"C.lanceolata×M.chapensis"stand(0.67).The next stands were"C.lanceolata×M.macclurei"(0.63),"C.lanceolata×S.superba"(0.54)and"C.lanceolata×C.hystrix"(0.48),and the pure C.lanceolata forest(0.46)was the lowest.
