Analysis of the content of gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ in Gardenia jasminoides from different regions of Jiangxi Province
In order to explore the quality difference of Gardenia jasminoides in different regions,142 batches of G.jasminoides from different origin in Jiangxi Province were selected. The content of gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ was determined by high performance liquid chromatography, and the composition levels of gardenia from different regions were compared. The results showed that,(1)The average content of gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ in G.jasminoides from different regions of Jiangxi Province was 3.94%and 0.91%,with G.jasminoides harvested in Fengcheng City having an average content of 5.15%and 0.82%for gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ,Gongqingcheng City having an average content of 3.29%and 1.01%for gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ,and Zhangshu City having an average content of 3.28%and 0.89%for gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ.(2)There were significant differences in the content of gardenoside and crocin Ⅰ in G.jasminoides from different regions, and the regional characteristics were obvious. The average content of gardenoside in gardenia harvested in Fengcheng City was the highest,at 5.15%.The content of geniposide in GY,HC,WN,XGXH and YF gardenia clones collected in Fengcheng City was significantly higher than that in Gongqingcheng City and Zhangshu City collection areas(P<0.05).The average content of crocin Ⅰ in G.jasminoides harvested in Gongqingcheng City was the highest,at 0.98%.The content of crocin Ⅰ in GY,HC,WN,XGXH and YF gardenia clones collected in Fengcheng City was significantly higher than that in Gongqingcheng City and Zhangshu City collection areas(P<0.05).The quality of 142 batches of G.jasminoides from different regions of Jiangxi Province meets the requirements of the pharmacopoeia.
