Analysis of nutrient and medicinal component content of seven provenances of Nanhaia speciosa in Guangxi
In order to analysis the nutritional and medicinal content of different Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of Nanhaia speciosa,providing a reference basis for the selection of varieties for the development of N.speciosa cultivation in Guangxi.It was planted 0.5 year-old seedlings of N.speciosa with 7 provenances from Guangxi under the primary seed garden of Pinus massoniana.After planting for 3.5 years,their sweet potato roots were collected for starch,total sugar,amino acids,and formononetin content testing.The results showed that,the starch content of theof N.speciosa with 7 provenances was from 18.80%to 38.20%,the total sugar content was from 2.56%to 6.94%,the amino acid content was from 13.50%to 18.10%,and the mangiferin content was from 0.08 to 0.83 ug∙g-1;The content of umami amino acids ranged from 3.79%to 5.89%,sweet amino acids was from 3.51%to 5.03%,bitter amino acids was from 5.26%to 7.13%,and medicinal amino acids was from 8.06%to 11.31%.The ratio of essential amino acids to total amino acid content ranged from 33.22%to 37.23%,while the ratio of essential amino acids to non essential amino acids ranged from 52.47%to 62.83%.the first limiting amino acid of the 7 provenances of N.speciosa were Met+Cys,with SRC ranging from 53.34 to 68.11.The content of formononetin amino acids,starch,and total sugar of N.speciosa from Shanglin County and Yulin City,was better than other seed sources.From the composition of amino acids,the source of N.speciosa from Shanglin County and Yulin City had the best fresh taste,and the medicinal amino acid content was relatively high.Therefore,the sources of N.speciosa Shanglin County and Yulin City had been preliminarily identified as having better nutritional and medicinal components.
