Analysis of natural population characteristics of Phoebe bournei in Mingyue Mountain of Yichun City and its plus trees selection
In order to better protect and utilize the germplasm resources of Phoebe bournei and find out the characteristics of the natural community of Ph.bournei,the habitat,species composition and population structure of 6 natural communities of Ph.bournei were investigated.The average tree method was used to analyze the tree height,DBH,annual DBH growth in recent 2 years,and average DBH growth in recent years.The results showed that:(1)The natural distribution community of Ph.bournei was mainly composed of Phyllostachys edulis forest mixed with broad lived trees,and the natural population's plants belonged to 31 species of 21 families,26 genera,mainly tropical and subtropical flora.The dominant tree species was Ph.bournei,and the associated tree species were abundant.The concentrated distribution area was 300 to 600 m above sea level,and its habitat conditions were good,with deep soil layer and fertile and moist soil characteristics.(2)In the natural community,the DBH of Ph.bournei mainly concentrated in 20 to less than 35 cm,accounting for 58.51%.The living trees of Ph.bournei with DBH of 2.5 to less than 10 cm,50 cm and above were less.At the same time,there were also a certain number of young trees of Ph.bournei,the overall normal distribution pattern.(3)17 dominant trees were selected from 6 natural communities of Ph.bournei.23#was selected as superior trees,and 20#and 18#living trees were selected as alternative superior trees.In summary,the natural community of Ph.bournei in Mingyue Mountain was a stable mature stand with better site conditions,and it was in a dominant population with sustainable natural regeneration ability.
