Research on high-quality green development path of state-owned forest farms:a case study of state-owned forest farms in Jiangxi Province
To thoroughly implement the important instructions from General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of the Saihanba Mechanized Forest Farm and the significant requirements for forestry work in Jiangxi in 2023,and to overcome the development bottlenecks of state-owned forest farms,using research methods such as discussion and exchange,field research,and literature review,this study sorted out the achievements of the reform of state-owned forest farms in Jiangxi Province,through the reform and development of state-owned forest farms in Jiangxi Province as an example.The results showed that,after two rounds of reform,significant advancements had been made in forest resource cultivation,nursery-field integration,and forest-based economy.Specifically,state-owned forest farms in Jiangxi had conducted afforestation activities covering 33 400 hm2 off-site;the output value of forest-based economy has exceeded 190 billion CNY,with forest tourism reaching 226 million visits and generating tourism revenue of 145 billion CNY.Moreover,there were 26 national and provincial-level forest germplasm resource banks and 20 national and provincial-level forest seedling breeding bases,indicating initial achievements in green development.Our article also analyzes historical difficulties left over from previous reforms,insufficient momentum for green development in forest farms,weak forest management,and a lack of state-owned forest farms talent.Corresponding strategies were proposed to address these issues,aiming to clarify the direction for the development and reform of state-owned forest farms and promote high-quality green development.
