In order to expand the range of coal adaptation for a 1 069 t/h lean coal boiler,the comprehensive technical transformation of the unit's pulverizing system,pulverizing system and combustion system was carried out by adopting the steel ball mill with flue gas drying and composite power feeding technology.Operational results indicate that the unit operates safely and stably when burning coal with 10%to 50%volatility,at the same time,it enables flexible switching between different coal types.The coal type adaptability and fuel flexibility are greatly improved.The boiler's combustion economy improves significantly due to the increase in the proportion of high volatile coal combustion.The technological transformation generates economic benefits of more than 39 million yuan and reduces CO2 emissions by 20 000 tons annually.It has achieved good economic and environmental benefits,which can provide a reference for the technological transformation of fuel flexibility in similar units.
