Effects of Different Transplanting Methods on Yield and Quality of Flue-cured Tobacco
In order to screen out an appropriate transplanting method for flue-cured tobacco in Jiangxi, the author explored various transplanting methods, including plantlet transplanting under film (PTUF), well-cellar-type transplanting (WCTT), and transplanting over conventional film (TOCF).The results indicated that WCTT could obviously improve the yield of tobacco leaf,and could obtain markedly higher tobacco leaf yield than TOCF and PTUF.As for WCTT, under the condition of simultaneous sowing, the earlier the transplanting date, the higher the tobacco leaf yield.During the last 20 days of February, well-cellar-type transplanting the tobacco seedlings with 2～5-cm-high stem and 4～5 functional leaves could obtain better yield-increasing and value-increasing effects.
