Study on International Competitiveness of Aquatic Product Export of Guangdong Province under RCEP Framework
In this paper,Guangdong Province was taken as the main body of research,and the indicators including the international market share(MS)and revealed comparative advantage index(RCA)of aquatic products of Guangdong Province and other 14 RCEP member states under the RCEP framework were measured.The impact of RCEP agreement on the export of aquatic products in Guangdong Province were analyzed.In addition,according to"diamond model"theory,the influencing factors of the Guangdong's international competitiveness of aquatic products were analyzed.The results show that the international competitiveness of Guangdong Province's aquatic product export under the RCEP framework is weak.The signing of the RCEP agreement has a positive impact on the exports that Guangdong's aquatic products to South Korea and Japan.At the same time,trade facilitation has significantly promoted the exports of live fish,fresh and cold fish.The quality problems of Guangdong's aquatic products are the main factors that weaken its international competitiveness,and the trade facilitation by signing of the RCEP agreement has a positive impact on the international competitiveness of Guangdong's aquatic products.It is suggested that Guangdong Province should make use of the trade facilitation and preferential policies among RCEP member states to vigorously explore the aquatic product trade market of RCEP member states and strengthen the construction of quality supervision system to improve the international competitiveness of aquatic products of Guangdong Province.
