Effect of Land Outflow on Health Level of Rural Elderly
Based on the data of the 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS),this paper uses an orderly Ologit regression model to empirically test whether land outflow improves the health level of the rural elderly and the role path of its impact on health. The results show that:(1)land outflow has a positive impact on the physical health of the rural elderly, but it has a negative impact on their mental health.(2)Children's financial support plays a complete mediation effect on the influence mechanism of land outflow on the physical health of the elderly, and has a significant negative effect on the mediating effect on the mental health.(3)Heterogeneity analysis shows that there are significant differences in the eastern, central and western regions, and the positive effect on the health of the elderly in rural areas in the eastern region is more obvious. Therefore,we should further standardize the land outflow system, strengthen the cultivation and improvement of the land outflow market, establish and improve the social security system and the old-age security system, increase investment in public medical resources, focus on the physical and mental health of the elderly, and improve emotional care for the elderly.
