Identification of Resistance to Root-knot Nematode Disease in Tobacco Grafting Combinations
G278,G279 and Banqiao B were used as rootstocks,and K326,Honghua Dajinyuan and Yunyan 87 were used as scions.The resistance to root-knot nematode disease was assessed by cluster analysis of pathology indicators,membership function values of biological indicators and membership function values of pathology indicators through inoculating greenhouse pots with the most prevalent southern root-knot nematode.The results showed that the grafting combinations of Banqiao B+K326,G278+Yunyan 87,G279+K326,G279+Yunyan 87,G278+K326,G278+Honghua Dajinyuan,G279+Honghua Dajinyuan,Banqiao B+Yunyan 87 and Banqiao B+Honghua Dajinyuan exhibited resistance to root-knot nematode disease.Additionally,the rootstock and scion varieties K326,G278 and G279 displayed resistance.The resistance level of Yunyan 87 was moderately sensitive,and that of Banqiao B was moderately resistant,while Honghua Dajinyuan exhibited susceptibility to the disease.Therefore,grafting technology can effectively enhance the resistance of tobacco varieties to root-knot nematode disease.
