Study on Ecological Efficiency and Obstacle Factors of Food Production in Yangtze River Economic Belt
This paper takes the 11 provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the research object, and constructs an index system for measuring the eco-efficiency of food production considering non-desired output.Based on this, the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of food production eco-efficiency and obstacle factors in the Economic Belt are further analyzed by combining the super-efficiency SBM model and the obstacle degree model.Empirical results show that the eco-efficiency of food production in provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt shows a general trend of first decreasing and then increasing, and the eco-efficiency of food production in provinces and cities of the Economic Belt has significant spatial and temporal differences, and the average eco-efficiency of most provinces has not reached the effective frontier. In terms of the obstacle factors, the mechanical inputs, pesticide inputs and fertilizer inputs are the main obstacle factors restricting the improvement of eco-efficiency of food production in the Economic Belt. Therefore, each region should continuously strengthen the exchange and cooperation in food production, give full play to the advantages of their respective resource endowments to develop special agriculture, and eventually explore a new path to improve the eco-efficiency of food production with regional characteristics.
