Study on Influencing Factors of Sorghum Water Demand in Yanshan Hilly Area
In order to explore the water demand and water use efficiency of sorghum under different irrigation conditions, sorghum(Chiza 131)was taken as the research object, and an intelligent monitoring system and meteorological station were installed in the experimental community of Xiqiao Town,Karaqin Banner,Chifeng City to collect soil moisture and meteorological data. The local flood irrigation mode was used as the control, and irrigation quota(L1D),irrigation intensity(L2Q),irrigation frequency(L3P),and irrigation lower limit(L4X)were used as the experimental group.Different treatments were set up at the heading and filling stages, with a total of 12 treatments(L1D1,L1D2,L1D3,L2Q1,L2Q2,L2Q3,L3P1,L3P2,L3P3,L4X1,L4X2,L4X3).The effects of different irrigation quotas, intensity, frequency, and lower irrigation limits on the growth indicators, dry matter accumulation, photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, chlorophyll, yield, and constituent elements of sorghum were studied, and the water use efficiency and effective irrigation utilization coefficient were analyzed. The results showed that with the increase of irrigation frequency, both root length and stem diameter increased. With the increase of irrigation amount, the accumulation of dry matter in sorghum increased. When the irrigation intensity is 1.1 m3/h,the dry matter of sorghum reaches its maximum value at the heading and filling stages. The photosynthetic rate first increases and then decreases with the increase of irrigation intensity, and irrigation factors have little effect on transpiration rate and chlorophyll. The four irrigation factors have different effects on the growth, development, and yield of sorghum. The irrigation intensity is directly proportional to the yield of sorghum. As the irrigation intensity weakens, the yield of sorghum decreases. The L3P3(4 times)treatment group has the best effect. The irrigation quota treatment group is L1D2(60 m3/667 m2),with a yield of 486.58 kg/667 m2 and the highest water use efficiency of 2.04 kg/(mm·667 m2).When the lower limit of irrigation is that the soil moisture content in sorghum fields is higher than 40%of the field water holding capacity, sorghum can be left without irrigation.
