How to coordinate the exploration of Confucian classics with the comprehensive study of humanities is the first problem that academic institutions faced with,which encompasses literature,history,and philosophy but focuses on Confucian classics.In terms of the study of Confucianism,it further delves in-to the relationship between the historical forms of Confucianism and its modern construction.Attention should be given not only to the history of Confucianism but also to the transformation of Confucianism into a modem form,as stagnating in history hinders new achievements.From the perspective of specific research approaches,the relationship between history and thought,or the integration of historical con-sciousness and theoretical consciousness,is also a noteworthy aspect.This is closely tied to the interac-tion between Chinese and Western learning,and the practical significance of the latter lies in shaping a global cultural perspective.The unity of history and thought,transcending Chinese and Western learn-ing,constitutes the fundamental principles that should be reflected in humanistic studies.
