Aesthetics of Interobjectivity:Towards the"Great Outdoors"
Since the 21st century, there has been an upsurge?in the field of literary theory and aesthetics to speculate on the nature of things, which is closely related to practical issues such as global warming and ecological degradation.Among them,Bruno Latour's"Actor Network Theory"and the"Object-Orient-ed Ontology"represented by Graham Harman,Timothy Morton, and others are two different paths. The former follows the priority position of relationships and emphasizes the inherent constitutive nature of inter things;the latter takes the withdrawn entity as an ontological premise, making the inter-object na-ture a sensory configuration space floating in front of objects. Both attempt to break free from the"corre-lationism"that has plagued modern philosophy over the past two centuries, and move towards what Quentin Meillassoux called the"Great Outdoors"and what Zhuangzi called the"unexpected subtlety or grossness of things".In this process, literature and aesthetics help to record the various relationships between things, get closer to the perception of things, and create new inter-object connections.By re-versing existing survival patterns,we may move towards a new ecosystem of future coexistence.
