Digital Rural Construction and High-Quality Development of Rural Population:A Perspec-tive on Income Structure
Digital rural construction serves as a crucial lever for promoting rural revitalization and common prosperity.Based on the perspective of income structure,this paper examines the extent and mecha-nisms through which digital rural construction influences the high-quality development of rural popula-tion.Findings reveal that digital rural construction effectively enhances overall rural household income levels,attributed to its significant promotion of wage income,household business income and property income growth,while exerting a restraining effect on agricultural income growth and accelerating the trend of rural households leaving agriculture.Mechanism analysis demonstrates that digital rural con-struction primarily stimulates non-agricultural employment and household entrepreneurship,thereby increasing household income levels and achieving high-quality development of the rural population.Moreover,the impact of digital rural construction on high-quality development of rural population varies regionally,with more favorable income growth outcomes for households in the west,less developed re-gions and non-plain areas.Digital rural construction elevates the level of rural digital economy and be-comes a new element embedded in rural society,significantly enhancing the effectiveness of improving the high-quality development of the rural population.Strengthening the promoting role of digital rural construction in the high-quality development of the rural population requires multidimensional efforts to increase the intensity of vocational training for rural households,improve their digital literacy,and in-crease the return on investment in participating in digital rural construction.
