On the Intrinsic Contradiction of Ecological Civilization Theory and the Construction of So-cialist Ecological Civilization Theory
According to the service object and value purpose of the theory of ecological civilization,and the"actual"and"contingent"dimensions of the theory of ecological civilization,the intrinsic contradictions of ecological civilization theory can be divided into contradictions between the local and global dimen-sions,as well as between the practical and ideal dimensions.All contemporary Western ecological trends contain these intrinsic contradictions and strive to resolve them.However,due to flaws in their theoretical foundations and value positions,none of them has adequately addressed these contradictions.Only Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought dialectically resolves above contradictions,serving as a scientific methodology for constructing socialist ecological civilization theory and determining its proper value orientation.The theory of building a socialist ecological civilization must adhere to Marxist ideas on the relationship between man and nature,scientifically reveal the cause and essence of the ecological crisis,defend China's environmental rights and development rights,and adhere to the value orientation of environmental justice of historical materialism,to have not only serves the function of the instrumental rationality as a development concept capable of promoting China's green and low-carbon development,but also serves the function of value rationality as the ideal of human civilization development,which promotes the realization of a beautiful China and a beautiful and harmonious world.
