Canada boasts distinctive characteristics and unique experiences in its higher vocational education, in terms of its educational thought, schooling concept ,curriculum development, teaching staff and cooperation between colleges and enterprises. We have similar concepts and practices in China, but with a large margin. This article intends to discuss with Chinese situation under consideration how to explore a healthy way of development for Chinese higher vocational education by drawing useful lessons from Canada and avoiding mechanical application.
