Derivative design method for automotive wheel hub modeling based on V-shaped memory curve
In order to improve the efficiency of wheel hub design and enhance brand styling recognition,a high-efficient method for deriving innovative designs was proposed for automobile wheel hubs.Two types of V-shaped memory curves were summarized through the analysis of the variation patterns and characteristics of the V-shaped memory curve of the wheel hub.Quantitative expressions were performed according to the number of control points.The features of the wheel hub skeleton were extracted and operational rules were established based on the five design elements of wheel hub styling.A wheel hub design method was constructed based on V-shaped memory curve.The feasibility of this method was verified by parameterizing the derivation of modeling construction schemes.The research results showed that the wheel hub derivation design method based on V-shaped memory curve theory improved the efficiency of wheel hub design,achieved the design goals of wheel hub styling innovation and brand feature continuity.This could provide references for the innovative design of similar products.
