The Finite Element Analysis and Optimization of the Press Roller of Roller Granulator
The life of the press roller of roller granulator is often short due to the alternating load.In order to improve the stress state of the press roller,a mechanical model of the roller was established according to the analysis of the granulating process of the roller pelleting mechanism and the study of the stress state of the roller.On this basis,taking a certain type of roller granula-tor as the initial model,the surface pressure distribution of the press roller was investigated by finite element software Abaqus,and the length-diameter ratio and support mode of the press roller were further optimized.The results show that when the length-diameter ratio of the press roller is 1.034,the maximum stress is reduced by 8.92%compared with the original model,and the change of unilateral support to bilateral support can reduce the maximum stress by 65.31%.Therefore,these two optimization methods have important reference value for improving the service life of press roll.
