Research on Influence of Structural Parameters of Contacts on the Insertion-Extraction Characteristics of Connectors
Electrical connectors are critical components in many applications.The insertion-extraction characteristic of a cer-tain type of electrical connector was studied in it.Through simulation and orthogonal text,the influence of different structural parameters and materials of the contacts on this characteristic was analyzed.And the simulation results showed that the groove width of the socket spring had the least effect on the performance of electrical connectors,and it was almost negligible.The amount of shrinkage,the length and the thickness of the spring had different effects on the performance of electrical connectors.The overall performance of the beryllium bronze contact material was better than the other two materials.In addition,after the flat groove bottom was replaced by the circle groove bottom,the maximum equivalent stress of the three materials was reduced by about23%,and the maximum insertion force and contact force were slightly increased(about2.17%,3.2%),the phenome-non of stress concentration at the groove bottom was greatly improved.
