Research on the Torque of a New Dish Coupling for Generator Set
In view of the high processing requirements of the laminated coupling used in the field of diesel generator sets,there are no connection screw strength and laminated stiffness checking formulas,a new dish coupling has been designed,which can be used in the field of diesel generator set with good performance,low cost,fast and convenient disassembly in processing.Based on the classical mechanics theories of kinematics,electromagnetism,tribology and contact mechanics,the mechanical models,which are related to the end face of the dish screw hole,the inner and outer circle of the dish screw and the screw in the torsional process,are analyzed and studied.The feasibility of the new dish coupling has been proved and the theoretical formulas for calcu-lating screw diameter and dish thickness are derived.Furthermore,examples are provided to illustrate how to use these formulas,which is of practical theoretical guidance to the popular application of this new dish coupling.
