Measurement and Identification of Comprehensive Error of Rotating Shaft of Five-Axis CNC Machine Tool
Aiming at the comprehensive evaluation of the motion error and geometric error of the rotating shaft of five-axis NCma-chine tools,a measurement and identification method using R-test measuring instrument is proposed without considering the in-fluence of the motion error of linear axis.Firstly,the measurement process is carried out according to two different height settings of the reference sphere,and only the rotating axis is moved,but not the straight axis.Secondly,the motion accuracy of the rotat-ing shaft is measured by using the R-test measuring instrument.In addition,it is assumed that the geometric error of the rotating shaft position and the setting error of the reference ball on the worktable are the factors that affect the measurement results,and these factors are separated by the least square method.The motion error and geometric error of Caxis of UCP800Durovertical five-axis machining center of Miquelao company were measured by using the R-test measuring instrument of IBS company.The re-search results show that this method can correctly identify the motion error and geometric error of the rotating shaft,effectively evaluate the motion accuracy of the rotating shaft,and help to further improve the accuracy of the rotating table.
