Measurement and Engineering Validation of Soil Particle Rolling Friction Coefficient
As the country more and more high to the requirement of engineering mechanical energy conservation and efficiency, reduce the work resistance of engineering machinery is one of the core technology of energy saving and efficiency increasing.soil as typical working conditions of the engineering machinery operation,it is necessary to make in-depth study on its physical pa-rameters,and the rolling friction coefficient of soil has obvious effects on the macroscopic properties. The existing measurement method of rolling friction coefficient is not suitable for soil particles.A set of soil rolling friction coefficient measurement device is set up,which can well avoid soil particles breaking during the test and obtain sufficient measured data. The test data are normal-ly distributed and meet the stability requirements through SPC.After measurement and calculation, the rolling friction coefficient between soil particles and soil particles is 0.045,and the rolling friction coefficient between soil particles and steel is 0.033.The measured coefficients were set into the discrete element model(JKR model)to obtain the virtual soil repose Angle, and compared with the measured soil repose Angle, the deviation was less than 1.7%,It shows that the design of measuring device is reasonable and the measurement results are accurate, which can meet the engineering requirements and serve for the research on reducing work resistance of construction machinery.
