Planning and Simulation of Tool Path for Rotor Machining of Double Arc Helical Gear Pump
Aiming at the problems of low machining efficiency and accuracy in the machining method of double-arc helical gear pump rotors,a method of machining double-arc helical gear pump rotors on CNC milling machine with a ball-end milling cut-ter is proposed.The research objective is to establish the machining coordinate system of the double arc helical gear according to the rotor equation of the double arc helical gear pump and the principle of spatial meshing,and establish the double arc helical gear according to the conversion matrix between the coordinate systems The tooth surface equation of the pump rotor simulates the machining process using a ball-end milling cutter,calculates the plane and space trajectory of the machining tool center,and gives a method to determine the maximum radius of the ball-end milling cutter without interference.Using VERICUT software to establish a virtual manufacturing environment and carry out milling simulation processing,the correctness and feasibility of the numerical control machining method of the double-arc helical gear pump rotor tooth surface is verified.
