Analysis and Assessment on Residual Strength of the Non-Collinear Multi-Crack Structures
For the Widespread Fatigue Damage(WFD)assessment problem of aging aircraft, the influence of different structural parameters on residual strength of non-collinear multi-crack structures is studied by experimental methods, the defects of the ex-isting residual strength evaluation method are corrected, and an improved Net Section Yield Criterion and an improved Irwin Plastic Zone Linkup Criterion are proposed to obtain more accurate evaluation results. The improved Net Section Yield Criterion has small errors and a wide application range. It can be used to evaluate the influence of rivet holes spacing and rivet holes diam-eter on residual strength of structure. The improved Irwin Plastic Zone Linkup Criterion has more accurate evaluation results when rivet spacing is greater than10mm,and it can also be used to evaluate the effect of crack location on residual strength.
