Performance Research of Miller Cycles on Diesel Engine Fueled with Biodiesel
With the help of GT-Power software, the imitation model of a locomotive diesel engine is built, and the accuracy of the imitate model is research and verified through experiments. To fuel five biodiesel conditions B0,B10,B20,B50 and B100 of 1000r/min at 75%load,and the effect of two Miller cycles on fuel consumption, power and emission function of diesel engine is analyzed. The test results indicate that the following:the inflection point of diesel engine power change is at 30℃AMiller degree, the inflection point of fuel consumption change is 30℃A Miller degree, and the inflection point of soot emission change is 20℃A Miller degree. The effect of NOx emission reduction under this working condition more significant.Various performances of diesel engines were comprehensively studied.B10biodiesel was used under the conditions of 1000r/minand75%load,the Miller degree was30℃Aand the diesel engine had the best performance under the Miller cycle with the overlap angle of the variable valve.
