Numerical Simulation of Biomass Extrusion and Optimization of the Hole Parameters
Based on the elastoplastic theory,a modified Drucker-Prager Cap material constitutive model is used to research the changing law of materials in the pelleting process. With the help of the finite element analysis software ABAQUS and its second-ary development subroutine VUSDFLD,the pelleting process is simulated and the accuracy of the model is verified.Orthogonal experiments are carried out to study the influence of die hole parameters on the forming density and energy consumption, and then the die hole parameters are improved. The results show that the constitutive model can accurately simulate the pelleting pro-cess.The forming density and energy consumption of the material can raise with the inceasing of the cone depth and the taple. The optimal combination of parameters is the depth of 7mmand the taper of60°.
