Adaptive Layering Algorithm for Planar Array Projection Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing uses the principle of"layer by layer superposition"to form parts. The smaller the thickness of the layer, the higher the surface quality of the parts, and the lower the molding efficiency. In order to adjust the contradiction be-tween forming efficiency and surface quality of parts,an adaptive hierarchical algorithm based on STL parts normal vector was proposed. The algorithm to calculate the intersecting plane layer of triangles in the direction of the normal vector and manufactur-ing angle set, then the mean of the set angle and the minimum weighted sum,on the basis of the weighted sum after the Angle of the relationship, the adaptive adjustment of compactions layer thickness.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively balance the relationship between the surface quality and the forming efficiency of the parts.Compared with the other four adaptive hierarchical algorithms, the step volume error is smaller and the forming time of the parts is shorter.
