Research on the Influence of Water/Steam Injection Timing on Gasoline Engine Combustion and Emission
The thermodynamic model of the LJ465Qgasoline engine verified by experiments is used to study the influence of in-cyl-inder water and steam injection timing on engine performance and emissions. The results show that when the engine is 2000r/min and full load, the injection mass is 9mg,the injection pressure is 10bar,the injection time is(-110~-60)℃ A,the output power under water injection conditions gradually decreases with the lag of the injection time, the power can be increased by 0.71% and the fuel consumption rate can be reduced by 0.74% .After water injection, the local high temperature and local over-rich area are reduced, which helps to significantly reduce NOx emission, which is reduced by 66.3% at most, and HC emission are increased. The output power of superheated steam injection increased gradually with the lag of injection time, and the power increased by 1.7% at most, and the fuel consumption rate decreased by 1.8% .NOx emission decrease with the increase of the injection time, which decreased by 55.2% and HC emission decreased by 15.4% .In summary,in-cylinder steam injection has certain advantag-es compared to the effect of water on engine performance and emissions.
