Research on Topology Modification of Herringbone Gear
In order to reduce the vibration and noise of the standard tooth face herringbone gear in the transmission process and improve the stability of the transmission system,it is necessary to adopt modification to improve the meshing state of the standard tooth face herringbone gear.Monte Carlo method and genetic algorithm are used to modify the topology of standard tooth pinion,and the quadratic parabola is selected for the modification curve.Finally,the transmission error peak and contact stress distribu-tion are obtained.The results show that both algorithms reduce the peak value of gear transmission error and the maximum con-tact stress and improve the contact stress distribution of tooth surface.
