Synthesis and performance study of organosilicon sulfosuccinate sodium salt
An anionic surfactant sodium salt of sulfosuccinate was prepared from maleic anhydride(MA),heptamethyl trisiloxane(HTLX),allyl glycidyl ether(AGE),water and sodium bisulfite by silica-hydrogen ad-dition reaction, epoxy ring-opening esterification reaction and sulfonation reaction. The structures of the prod-ucts were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR).The surface tension and contact angle of the water solution of the product were measured. The properties of the product such as permeability, foam performance and emulsion ability were investigated. The results showed that the critical micelle concen-tration(CMC)was 1.37 g/L,the lowest surface tension γCMC was 20.55 mN/m,and the contact angle decreased from 61.58° to 30.37° on the surface of paraffin wax.Compared with sulfosuccinic acid-1,4-dioctyl ester(AOT)and sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate(SDBS),the product has general permeability, lower foaminess and better foam stabilization, and better emulsification performance for corn oil than liquid paraffin.
