Research on Digital Integration of Elderly Groups from the Perspective of Social Informatics:Taking Smartphone Use as an Example
Aging has become an irreversible trend of China's population development,and the process of digitalization in China is also advancing steadily.Therefore,it can be predicted that aging and digitalization will become an important development feature of China's next stage.However,the elderly group has always been in a dis-advantaged position in the digital development,how to ensure the digital integration of the elderly group has become an important problem to be solved urgently in the social development.This paper introduces commu-nity informatics as the theoretical conceptual framework,selects the elderly group as the main research ob-ject,and adopts the research method of semi-structured interview to analyze the use of smart phones,so as to provide empirical basis for the study of the digital integration of the elderly group.Based on the empirical research results and referring to the digital social stratification model in community informatics,this paper puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions for the digital integration of the elderly group from the perspectives of digital awareness,digital information literacy and digital cohesion.
