Research on Measurement and Optimization of Discipline Structure in Major Universities in Jiangxi Province
A university is composed of many disciplines of different scales and levels,and the rationality of its internal disciplinary structure is crucial for university future development.To accurately evaluate the disciplinary de-velopment and structural distribution of universities in Jiangxi Province,and provide a basis for optimizing disciplinary structure and overall university development,this paper attempts to use methods such as scient-ometrics to achieve quantitative measurement of the internal disciplinary structure of universities.Firstly,taking 9 universities in Jiangxi Province that have the right to grant independent doctoral programs as an ex-ample,based on data from core journals in both Chinese and foreign languages,the paper measures the de-velopment status of internal disciplines from the dimensions of discipline size,influence,and growth.Sec-ondly,based on the distribution of disciplinary development levels,disciplinary attribute strategic coordi-nates,evaluates the disciplinary structures of universities.Finally,summarizes the current situation and characteristics of the discipline structure of major universities in Jiangxi Province,and proposes relevant op-timization ideas and suggestions,in order to promote the development of higher education and the construc-tion of"Double First Class"in Jiangxi Province.
