Social aesthetic education is a subtle education that aims to improve people's aesthetic abilities and ultimately promote social harmony and progress through social aesthetic institutions and beautification activities.As institutions for social aesthetic education,museums,art galleries,and others often receive attention and discussion.However,libraries,which are also an important component of public culture,have received little attention from scholars regarding their forms and contents of aesthetic education,as well as their ways of participating in social aesthetic education.In 2023,Shanghai launched the"Social Art Education"classroom,integrating public cultural resources such as libraries,art galleries,museums,theaters,and theaters to systematically carry out social art education activities,library is an indispensable and important component of it.Taking this as an example,explore the role positioning and participation channels of public libraries in social aesthetic education.
