The Expansion and Innovation of Public Library Services for the Visually Impaired in the New Period:Taking the Library of Jiujiang City as an Example
The visually impaired group is an important service population of public libraries.Based on an overview of the current theoretical research and service status of visually impaired group services in public libraries,this article takes the practical work of visually impaired services in the library of Jiujiang city as a case study,introduces its service content,summarizes its service concept and characteristics,and explores the ex-pansion and innovation of visually impaired group services in public libraries from the aspects of informa-tion literacy education,carrying out reading and cultural activities,proactive and warm services,applying modern technology and new technologies,strengthening social cooperation,and expanding service audienc-es.The aim is to provide reference for other public libraries.
