Research on smelting deoxidation process of Cr3 and Cr5 roll steel large forgings
Since the increase of chromium content in Cr3 and Cr5 bearing roll steel will inhibit the aluminum deoxidation reaction, this paper takes the deoxidation process in the metallurgical process of Cr3 and Cr5 bearing rolls as the research context, calculates the oxygen content of Cr3 and Cr5 roll steel by laboratory deoxidation experiments, and draws the aluminum deoxidation equilibrium curve by using FactSage 8.1 software, and establishes a steel-slag reaction model by combining the Wagner model with the slag coexistence theory to scrutinize the influence of chromium content on the aluminum deoxidation effect in steel. The Wagner model and the slag coexistence theory were combined to establish a steel slag reaction model to explore the influence of chromium content on the effect of aluminum deoxidation in steel. The results show that, within a certain range, the increase of chromium content in steel will inhibit the aluminum deoxidation reaction;in the refining process, the aluminum content in Cr3 supporting rolls should be controlled at about 0.03% and the aluminum content in Cr5 supporting rolls should be controlled at about 0.05%,so that the oxygen content can be effectively controlled at less than 10-5;and the alkalinity of the optimal slag composition to match it is 2.5-3.0,and the w(Al2O3)>20%.
