Research on ferroalloy reduction technology in steelmaking process
The reduction of ferroalloys consumption in the steelmaking process helps steel companies to reduce emissions through energy conservation and save their production costs. In this paper, drum experiments, data analysis, and calibration methods of the molten steel weight were used to study the effects of alloy pulverization rate, alloy consumption, and alloys yield on alloy cost. The results show that the alloy yield rate decreased when the alloy pulverization rate increased. The alloying cost per ton of steel decreased from 243.62 yuan to 241.89 yuan when the Mn content of silicon manganese alloy increased from 64.7%to 66.6%.The alloying consumption decreased when the content of the alloying elements increased. The cost of the alloy was the lowest when the steel water deviation is in the range of-2%-0.Therefore,steel companies should regularly check the accuracy of ladle scales.
