Design and Experimental Study on Rapid Thermal Jet Deicing Device
Determining how to quickly and economically remove the ice on the airport runways,city roads and bridges is be-coming an important topic to keep the traffic flow and safe in the snow and icy weather.Based on the analysis of current resear-ches on different deicing methods,a new method which combines the thermal water-jet cutting with the mechanical-milling deicing technology is presented in this paper.Factors which have effects on de-ice have been researched and experimentally analyzed,such as the jet pressure,nozzle aperture,standoff,jet injection angles,etc.After the relevant experimental re-search,it shows that the device can effectively implement the de-icing operation and meet the design requirements.
